I am the owner of Catalyst Hackle based in Michigan. I have a degree in animal science, specializing in poultry, from Michigan State University, attended poultry classes with the Mid-West Poultry Consortium, have over 20 years' experience raising and breeding chickens in addition to working as a research scientist.
I am also an avid fly tier and fly fisherman. I personally tie with feathers from my brood roosters and have others who tie with them and give me critiques to make sure they are of high quality before breeding them.
